Dragon Boat 2018

Every year Pugney’s Watersports Centre in Wakefield hosts its annual Rotary Dragon Boat Race seeing 30 teams will take part in the challenge.

We was a great privilege to be invited by the Rotary Dragon to join in on the 9th dragon boat race in 2017 and then to be invited back in 2018 for the 10th Dragon boat race.

Both years we had a great turn out with members and family members joining us to not only row the boats against other local charities, but to raise awareness to a larger audience as well as raising much needed funds to continue to support the families that are members of the charity.

We all had great fun throughout the day, taking turns to row or simply being a spectator and supporting the rowers. It was a great atmosphere and also a great networking opportunity meeting all the other organisations doing various good work within the community.
